Dog Whisperer meets Horse Whisperer
As a massive Cesar Millan fan, I regularly watch the Dog Whisperer episodes on TV. Last week he joined up Horse Whisperer Pat Parelli to work on separate dog and horse problems on an LA ranch. It was great to see the similarities in their approaches to communicating with animals in their own language and modelling their natural behaviour.
I thought the most telling bit of the programme was at the end when they were talking about their work and saying they were really in the people business - as in most cases they are teaching people how to better communicate with their animals. If you haven’t seen the shows, you would expect them to describe themselves as being in the animal business, but you only have to watch a few Dog Whisperer episodes to see this is not the case.
I think for a future episode, they should find a situation involving dogs, horses and children problems. They could then get The Nanny involved as well. I’m sure there would be additional similarities here too.

Interesting… I have been wondering if there would be another tv show like Cesars with other animal communicators. Since Ceasar is a Dog Whisperer and I love his show… I started researching animal communication and came across this awesome book that I just had to snag, called Wagging Tales, by Tim Link.
It`s a book about animal communicating…and i mean all different kind of animals .
One question I had was, how can someone communicate with an animal, and when I read the intro, he answered me this question! I just love how Tim can give these animals a voice much like I`m sure Pat did. If you`ve been wondering the same things as me, then this book is a must read you`ll really enjoy it!
