The 2007 Olympia Horseshow
It is the centeniary year for the Olympia horseshow in London this year which is taking place 17-22 December.
The big names usually take part in the showjumping classes but most people remember the show for the Xmas parades with Santa, his sleigh of presents and the snow.

I was in the UK for Xmas so was fortunate to see the main showjumping class on TV. The fences looked pretty big but I was most impressed by the speed and agility of the horses in the jump-off, particularly the winning combination. Jessica Kurten and Castle Forbes Libertina went extremely quickly and took a stride out galloping flat out the last fence. Even at this speed, the horse still picked up and made a great jump at the last.
